The 18-hole Century Miki Golf Club is located in Miki, Hyogo Prefecture, Japan, set within a quiet hilly landscape that designer Fukichi Kato selected for its natural undulations. Opened in November 1990, the course is designed as a championship layout that challenges players with strategic demands across its rolling terrain. The total yardage from the back tees measures 7,037 yards with a course rating of 74.7, while the regular tees offer 6,565 yards at a 72.2 rating. The front nine plays 3,067 yards from the back tees for a par 36, featuring a mix of par 4s, two par 5s, and two par 3s. The back nine extends to 3,581 yards, also set at par 36, bringing the total par to 72. The course includes multiple tee boxes, including front, back, regular, and ladies' tees, allowing for varied difficulty levels. The greens are maintained with Bentgrass, specifically a mix of RGL and 2-bent varieties. Kato’s design philosophy emphasizes a connection between the player and the natural environment, aiming to create a course where golfers can focus on the mental aspects of the game. The layout incorporates strategic elements that require thoughtful shot selection, reflecting the designer's intent to build a course that rewards skill and decision-making rather than just distance. The club offers both caddie-assisted and self-play options, with caddies generally required on weekends and holidays. Facilities include a 280-yard driving range with 10 bays, and the course utilizes electromagnetic induction-powered carts. The club has hosted events such as the Manganese Ware Cup and continues to host various club competitions throughout the year.
