Ono Grand Country Club is a 36-hole facility located in Ono City, Hyogo Prefecture, featuring two distinct 18-hole courses: the New Course and the Old Course. The club opened in 1979 as Ono International Golf Club and was renamed Ono Grand Country Club in 1985. The New Course was completed in 1988, followed by the Old Course, which was added to the property in 1982. The courses are set on gently rolling hills surrounded by dense pine forests, with tee shots often offering expansive views of the greens. The New Course is designed as a strategic test for golfers, featuring wide fairways, strategically placed ponds, and undulating greens. The back nine includes a notable par-5 13th hole that requires a tee shot over a valley, while the 16th hole is a signature par-4 featuring a pond with a red bridge in front of the green. The 18th hole presents a final challenge with a large pond guarding the right side of the green. The Old Course offers a different layout with narrow fairways and significant OB hazards, including a par-3 3rd hole surrounded by four bunkers and a demanding par-4 7th hole that requires a carry over water. Both courses are set up with multiple tee boxes to accommodate different skill levels, ranging from forward tees for ladies and seniors to back tees for professionals. The New Course plays to 3,539 yards from the back tees with a par of 72, while the Old Course measures 3,288 yards from the back tees, also with a par of 72. The facility has hosted several notable tournaments, including the Kansai Amateur Championship, the Japan Senior Open, and the Japan Student Golf Championship. The club also features a 16-bay driving range and a restaurant that serves breakfast, lunch, and light meals.
