French Oaks Golf Club is an 18-hole, par 72 golf course located on 147 acres in Flatwoods, Kentucky, Greenup County. The course was established and built in 1995 by the architect Dr. Michael Hurdzan. The property was transferred to French Oaks LLC on August 30, 2020. The 18-hole layout meanders through the hills with tight fairways that are both challenging and picturesque. Fairways are Bermuda grass and the greens are Bent grass.

The course is a unique and challenging layout unlike any other course in the area. From the back tees, the course plays 6,917 yards with a slope of 138. The elevation changes are dramatic, the echoes of tee shots are thunderous, and the course frames approach shots well. Hole #18, a par 5, has a lake along the entire left side of the fairway, and hole #6, a par 4, has a lake protecting the right and front sides of the green. No holes overlap, and with a good pace of play, it is like playing golf on your own course.
