El Desafío is a 72-par golf course located in Patagonia, Argentina, designed by Greg Norman. The layout is built into the mountainside, featuring significant elevation changes and two distinct environments. The lower holes traverse a dense pine forest, while the upper holes open onto expansive prairies with views of the Andes and the Cordón Chapelco range. The course includes five tee boxes on each hole to accommodate players of all handicaps. The front nine holes are completed and in use, while the back nine and the clubhouse are under construction. The total yardage from the professional tees is 7,062 yards, with a par 36 for each nine. The design emphasizes wide fairways that remain competitive from the back tees. Norman paid particular attention to the par 3 holes to highlight the natural scenery. The course has received recognition from golf publications. Tom Doak included it in The Confidential Guide to Golf Courses, noting it as likely the best course in Argentina and among the top 10 most original courses in the Americas. It is also listed among the top 100 golf courses in the world and featured in Golf Digest as one of the ten best courses in Argentina.
