Chapelco Golf Club ☆ Follow

The course is an 18-hole, par 72 layout measuring 7,168 yards, designed by Jack Nicklaus and Jack Nicklaus II. Situated in San Martín de los Andes in the Neuquén Province of Argentina, the parkland-style course is integrated into the Andean Patagonia landscape, surrounded by mountains, streams, ponds, and native conifers. The design prioritizes minimal environmental impact, preserving the natural terrain and vegetation. Chapelco Golf Club opened in February 2006 as the first golf course in South America designed by Jack Nicklaus’ firm. It is a member of the Jack Nicklaus International Golf Club and features deep greens and fairways lined with varieties of conifers. The facility includes a driving range, putting green, chipping green, and an indoor golf simulator, alongside a clubhouse that houses administrative offices, a sports store, and dining options. The course has hosted significant events, including the 1st Nicklaus South America Cup and the annual Easter Open. It has been recognized with awards such as Best Golf Course in Argentina at the World Golf Awards. The club maintains a private membership structure while welcoming visitors, enforcing a strict dress code and etiquette policy to preserve the traditions of the game.
