Donalda Golf and Country Club is a 6,686-yard, 18-hole championship course located in Toronto, Ontario, situated on 200 acres in the heart of the city. Originally created by Canadian golf professional Jimmie Johnstone and opening for play in 1961, the course was significantly redesigned by noted architect Thomas McBroom in 1994. The layout plays through a plunging valley with a meandering river running through its core, merging with the natural landscape in a parkland setting. The course is part of an Audubon-certified facility and features 20 USGA-specification greens, which were completely rebuilt by McBroom in 2014 to the latest standards. The course is designed to be challenging where necessary while remaining playable for golfers of all skill levels. The terrain offers varied and interesting holes that take advantage of the natural topography, including the valley and river features. The redesign by McBroom, who has won multiple Golf Digest Best New Course in Canada awards, focused on creating greens with interest, detail, and character. The club also offers extensive junior golf development programs, including camps for various age groups, and provides year-round practice facilities with four HD golf simulators.
