Deer Lakes Golf Course is an 18-hole course located in Salem, Kentucky, approximately 30 miles northeast of Paducah on Highway 60. Set on 300 acres of naturally contoured terrain, the course winds through six lakes and features 40-50 species of trees that create spectacular fall foliage displays. The layout incorporates streams, foot bridges, and large rock formations throughout the scenic landscape.

The course is notable for its natural setting and historical significance, with a portion of the Cherokee Indian Trail of Tears running through the back nine. An original iron bridge from 1898, once part of the historic Golconda Road stage coach line, has been relocated to hole 15's tee box. The course features distinctive trees including a 150-foot Tulip Poplar near hole 12 and a 300-year-old White Oak measuring 16 feet in circumference on hole 8.

A five-mile concrete cart path connects the holes through wooded hills. The course maintains an irrigation lake fed by the natural Butler Spring, containing over one billion gallons of fresh water. Wildlife is abundant throughout, with wild turkeys, deer, and numerous bird species native to the region, particularly around Sandy Creek which borders much of the property. The 4,000-square-foot clubhouse, constructed from Cherry Bark Oak harvested on the course, is available for events and tournaments.
