Concord Country Club features a classic William Flynn designed 18-hole course, located in the Brandywine Valley of southeastern Pennsylvania near West Chester. The club is situated minutes away from Philadelphia and Wilmington, Delaware, and was established with 18 holes at par 70, though the course currently plays as an 18-hole layout of 6,761 yards from the longest tees for a par of 71. The course has a rating of 73.0 and a slope rating of 138.
The front nine on the higher side of the property is more open and ground-based, while the back nine adjusts to the wooded terrain and creeks of the lower side. Geoffrey Cornish redesigned parts of the course in the 1970s, including the Sixth and Sixteenth, and built new holes at the Fourth, Thirteenth, Fourteenth, Fifteenth and Seventeenth. More recently, Forse and Nagle underwent "restoration and modernization" work, essentially bringing the course back to Flynn's original design while making Cornish's work cohesive with it.
The facility includes a complete practice area with a grass range, short game area, and putting green. The course sits on over 190 acres, and Flynn's design has been revised and restored over the years, yet most holes retain Flynn's characteristics, featuring strategic negotiation of the natural landscape including the use of creeks and natural terrain features.
