Choctaw Country Club is a nine-hole course located in Poteau, Oklahoma, on 99 acres in southeastern Oklahoma. The course was originally built in the 1930s with sand greens and was redesigned in the early 1960s with bermuda grass greens and fairways. Designed by Aaron Ridenour and opened in 1945, the course plays to a par 71 and measures 6,149 yards from the blue tees, with a course rating of 69.6 and slope of 119. Multiple tee areas on each hole allow for varied play and challenge across multiple rounds.

The course features mature oak, elm, and pine trees that heavily protect holes 2, 3, and 4. Water hazards in the form of ponds and lakes come into play on all but the first and second holes, adding strategic difficulty to the layout. The facility includes a pro shop, snack bar, driving range with mats, putting green, golf carts, swimming pool, and tennis courts. The course operates year-round and welcomes daily fee players alongside members.
