Chiba Sakura no Sato Golf Club is an 18-hole, par 72 course located in Katori City, Chiba Prefecture, situated approximately 9 kilometers from the Sahrakatori Interchange on the Higashi-Kanto Expressway. The course is designed as a serious hill course overlooking the Kashima Sea, with 18 holes separated by natural forests. The layout features wide fairways that provide an open feel, making the course accessible for senior players and women, while complex undulations and strategically placed bunkers and water hazards challenge single-digit handicap players. The course offers four sets of tees—Blue, White, Green, and Red—allowing players of varying abilities to adjust the difficulty. The front nine includes a 391-yard par 4 at the 1st hole from the Blue tees, followed by a 371-yard par 4 at the 2nd. The 3rd hole is a 165-yard par 3, and the 4th is a demanding 409-yard par 4. The back nine begins with two long par 5s: the 5th at 495 yards and the 6th at 496 yards from the Blue tees. The 7th hole is a 189-yard par 3. The remaining holes continue to offer a mix of lengths and challenges, with yardages ranging from 249 yards on the Red tees for the 1st hole to 531 yards on the Blue tees for the 18th hole. Spring brings approximately 1,000 cherry trees into bloom, adding to the course's visual appeal. The design emphasizes the natural terrain, with each hole taking advantage of the existing landscape to create a distinct playing experience. The combination of wide fairways and challenging hazards ensures that the course remains engaging for both casual players and those seeking a more rigorous test of golf.
