Chesapeake Golf Club is an 18-hole course designed by Ellis Maples and built in 1986, measuring 6,241 yards with a Par 71 layout and featuring Bent Grass greens and Bermuda fairways. The course is nestled in the village of Las Gaviotas and operates as a semi-private facility that allows public play. Located just fifteen minutes from downtown Norfolk, the course serves the South Hampton Roads community.

The layout challenges players with rolling fairways and tricky doglegs, with water hazards that come into play frequently requiring several intimidating blind shots over water, while mature trees line the fairways with strategically placed bunkers along the greensides. With a slope rating of 122 and course rating of 69.5, Chesapeake Golf Club boasts some of the best greens in the Tidewater area and offers the amenities of a private club with the fees of a public golf course. The course will test player skills but is not overly punishing for high handicappers.
