Stumpy Lake Golf Course is an 18-hole championship course designed by legendary architect Robert Trent Jones, which opened in 1958. Located in Virginia Beach, Virginia, the course is situated within a 1,400-acre nature preserve on the south central boundary with Chesapeake, offering golfers a pristine setting largely absent of commercial or residential development.

The course stretches through natural woodland and features a 278-acre lake with scenic views throughout the layout. The setting provides abundant wildlife viewing opportunities, with frequent sightings of deer, fox, eagles, and ospreys, and occasional bear sightings. The surrounding landscape includes approximately 970 acres of undeveloped forested land and 1.65 miles of soft shared-use trails.

The property features modern amenities including a new clubhouse, canoe and kayak launch, nature trail, fishing pier, and an ADA-compliant overlook on the east end of the lake. The course's design takes advantage of its natural terrain and water features, creating a challenging yet scenic round. Its proximity to I-64 makes it accessible to regional golfers, and its location allows golfers to play 36 holes in one day when combined with its sister course, Honey Bee Golf Club.
