Yangsan Country Club is a 27-hole public golf facility located in Sangbuk-myeon, Yangsan, South Gyeongsang Province. The course was designed by Golf Plan Co. from the United States and is divided into three distinct nine-hole loops: Nuri Course, Gaon Course, and Maru Course. The layout is characterized by its flat elevation changes and strong undulation, with all holes facing south to ensure playability even in winter winds. The terrain utilizes a basin-like structure that separates the courses, with the Nuri Course situated on the northern ridge, the Gaon Course positioned near valley streams, and the Maru Course offering elevated views of the Yangsancheon River. The Nuri Course, located on the northern ridge, features a par 36 layout with a total length of 3,084 meters. It is designed to provide a strategic challenge through strong undulation from tee to green, while maintaining gentle fairway shapes to encourage comfortable shots. The course is surrounded by preserved original pine forests and a mix of evergreen and deciduous trees, creating a distinct landscape separate from the other loops. The Gaon Course runs along the valley floor, totaling 3,084 meters with a par of 36. This loop is designed to coexist with the wild habitats of the Yangsancheon River passage, offering a natural environment with lakes and natural streams. The design features fewer changes in terrain compared to the other courses, providing a contrasting experience for golfers. The Maru Course, which offers the most expansive views of the river and the other nine holes, is the longest loop at 3,324 meters and also plays to a par of 36. The facility caters to a wide range of players through its tiered tee system. Champion tees are set up to allow scratch golfers to play the course at full length, while middle tees provide reasonable options for general players. Front tees are available for shorter play, making the course accessible for women and beginners. The design philosophy emphasizes a harmony between nature and the golfer, with significant investment in landscaping to respect the natural environment.
