Campo de Golfe de Miramar, founded in 1932, is one of Portugal's oldest and most traditional golf courses. Located in Arcozelo, Vila Nova de Gaia, approximately ten kilometers south of the Douro River, the course stretches along Miramar Beach between the dune of Senhor da Pedra to the north and Aguda Beach to the south. The layout features a classic links-style design characteristic of golf's traditional birthplaces, with the Atlantic Ocean to the west and pine forests to the east, separated by road and railway.

Established by Frank Gordon and Porto natives Cláudio and Mário Martins, the club has maintained national prominence in Portuguese golf for nearly a century. The course is particularly notable for hosting the Escola de Golfe de Miramar, which has developed numerous competitive athletes who have achieved success both nationally and internationally, with many representing Portuguese national golf teams. The school continues to serve as a training ground for quality golfers. The course hosts several important tournaments annually, including the Taça João Fernando and Taça Nena.
