Breckenridge Golf Club is a 27-hole mountain golf course located in Breckenridge, Colorado at 9,300+ feet elevation. The facility consists of three championship nines—Bear, Beaver, and Elk—all Jack Nicklaus Signature courses. The Bear nine opened in 1985 on what early miners called "Buffalo Flats," followed by the Beaver nine in 1987, and the Elk nine in 2001. The course features panoramic views of the snowcapped Ten-Mile Mountain range and Colorado Rockies from every hole. Terrain varies from dense wooded areas to open native grassland and wetland areas. The Elk nine offers the most elevation change of the three nines. Notable characteristics include beaver ponds on the Beaver nine and mining tailings visible on holes 6, 7, and 8. Wildlife sightings are common, including beaver, deer, elk, moose, and bears. The course is certified by the Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary Program and employs environmentally responsible maintenance practices.
