Doe Valley Golf Club is a public 18-hole championship golf facility located twenty miles south of Louisville, Kentucky, nestled in the hills surrounding Doe Valley lake. The course was designed by the late Dick Wilson, whose resume includes Doral's "Blue Monster" in Miami, Florida and Cog Hill #4 Golf Club in Chicago, Illinois, both annual PGA Tour venues. The course opened in 1973 and is a par-71 facility with a length of 6,244 yards. The 18-hole course stands amid a forest in scenic Meade County, featuring seasonal changes with redbuds and dogwoods in spring, leafy green branches providing shade in summer, and fall foliage, with deer grazing nearby and wildlife throughout the property. The course features Bermuda fairways leading to medium and large-sized bent grass greens with undulations, and presents strategic challenges with three ponds, more than 30 bunkers, and tree-lined fairways. The golf facility is within the confines of a secure, gated residential community.
