Fazio Foothills Golf Course is an 18-hole, par-72 championship course designed by Tom Fazio, located at the Omni Barton Creek Resort in Austin, Texas. Built in 1986 and recently renovated in 2018, the course stretches to 7,125 yards and is set dramatically through the Texas Hill Country landscape, featuring elevated tee boxes with dramatic elevation changes down to fairways and greens.
The course is characterized by its challenging but fair layout that emphasizes shot-making. Fairways are planted with Tifway 419 Hybrid Bermuda grass, while small TifEagle Bermuda greens are accompanied by undulating aprons and grass bunkers. Natural hazards including cliffs, creeks, waterfalls, and wildlife add to the course's difficulty and aesthetic appeal.
Five sets of tee boxes accommodate golfers of varying skill levels, from beginners to experienced players. The course hosted the Champions Tour Legends of Golf tournament from 1990-1994 and has hosted multiple PGA of America Championships, including the PGA Cup and Inaugural Women's PGA Cup. Recent accolades include recognition from Golfweek's Best Courses by State and Golf Digest's Best Golf Courses in Texas.
