Barton Creek Coore Crenshaw Golf Course is an 18-hole, par-71 course designed by two-time Masters Champion Ben Crenshaw and architect Bill Coore. Located in Austin, Texas, the course exemplifies Crenshaw's design philosophy that "the best architect is nature." Recently renovated in 2018, the layout features lush, wide sweeping fairways lined by densely packed trees, with fairways planted in TiffSport Bermuda and Champion Hybrid Bermuda greens.
The course presents a forgiving layout for novice golfers while remaining challenging for experienced players. The greens are notably large and contoured, demanding precision on the putting surface—fitting for a course designed by one of golf's legendary putters. Yardage ranges from 4,322 to 6,650 yards depending on tee selection, with ratings from 62.2 to 72.6.
The signature 18th hole provides an exciting finish, playing slightly uphill with approach shots required across a running creek to reach a low-lying green etched into the hillside. The course has earned recognition including Golfweek's Best Courses by State (2020) and Dallas Morning News Best Courses You Can Play (2019).
