Ladies Open Texas Scramble

The Ladies Open Texas Scramble takes place at Broomieknowe Golf Club, Bonnyrigg, on Saturday 1 August 2026. Teams play off the Red (Ladies) tees using the Texas Scramble team format with strokeplay scoring. The event is open to visitors. Entry is restricted to amateur competitors holding a current World Handicap System (WHS) handicap index issued through a recognised affiliated golf club; handicap indexes issued directly by a national body are not accepted. The maximum course playing handicap applied is 36 strokes (equivalent to a handicap index of 32.5); competitors with a higher index may still enter but will be capped at 36 strokes. All competitors receive 95% of their course playing handicap on the day. Booking must be completed and fees paid at the time of booking. Cancellations made more than 14 days before the competition date receive a full refund; no refund is issued for later cancellations. The club will issue a full refund if the competition is cancelled (e.g. due to an unplayable course). Catering is available in the clubhouse from 09:00; meal reservations are recommended and can be made by calling 0131 663 9317 (Option 3). If the main car park is full, an overflow car park is signposted at the entrance. Buggies (club hire or personal) are limited to 3 club buggies; competitors wishing to use a buggy must provide proof of eligibility for competition use — check availability with the professional in advance. The competition committee's decisions are final on all matters.
