The South Head Open Men and Women Championships are held in early May each year at South Head Golf Club. The format is strokeplay over 18 holes played off the Championship (Blue) tees. The event is open to all players with a NZGA handicap. The Championship trophy is awarded to the man and woman player with the best gross score on the day. Prizes are awarded for the best gross, net, and Stableford scores in three Men's divisions based on handicaps determined by the Golfing Committee, and a Ladies division. The Club's principal sponsor for the event is JK's World of Golf, who provide the prize table. Exact dates are published on the Golfing Programme page.
