Family Cup - Finale 2026

The Family Cup is a 2-person scramble competition played in stableford format over 9 or 12 holes at Golfclub Chemnitz (Wasserschloss Klaffenbach). The event requires each team to consist of one adult and one child (parent/child, grandparent/child, or siblings over 18 with a child). Separate competitions are held for ladies/girls and men/boys. The event features a cannon start on hole 7 or holes 10-18, depending on the number of entries. Play is governed by the official Rules of Golf of the German Golf Association (DGV) and the club's course rules. The competition is not handicap-relevant. Team handicap is calculated as 0.8 times the better World Handicap Index plus 0.2 times the worse, with a maximum team handicap of 36 (teams with combined WHI 36.1-54 are set to 36). Entry fee is 50.00 EUR per team for Golfclub Chemnitz members, and 70.00 EUR per team for guests (50.00 EUR entry plus 20.00 EUR green fee per non-member). The entry fee includes a halfway snack on hole 12, a drink of choice, and a lunch snack for the prize-giving ceremony after the tournament. Registration closes on the Thursday before the tournament at 18:00, or earlier if the maximum of 30 pairs is reached. Entries can be made online via the club website or by email. Check-in begins at 08:00, with a welcome at the putting green at 09:15 and cannon start at 10:00. Prize-giving follows the tournament. Special awards are given for Nearest to the Pin and Longest Drive. Participants must be amateur golfers who are members of a DGV-affiliated club or an recognized foreign golf club.
