Junior Open 2026

The Real Club de Golf La Herrería's annual Junior Open 2026 is a series of three individual stableford competitions for youth golfers (Sub21, under 21 years old) held on July 1, 7, and 21, 2026. This specific entry is for the July 21 test, running from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm. The competition is open to club junior members (abonados juveniles) and any youth player with a valid Spanish golf federation license. Players with a world handicap of 36 or lower play 18 holes; those with a handicap between 36.1 and 54 play 9 holes. Two categories are offered: an 18-hole category (handicap ≤36, with starting tees at 59 for boys and 49 for girls) and a 9-hole category (handicap >36, starting at 49, or 35 for younger players with handicap over 36). A ranking is compiled across all three tests, with the best two results counting toward the final standings. Prizes are awarded for first place in each category at each test, and for the champion and runner-up in each category at the final ranking. Entries are made through the Clapphouse app, typically opening about ten days before each test and closing at 12:00 pm the day before the event. Members receive priority; remaining spots are allocated by handicap order. No caddies or spectators are permitted on the course. Distance measuring devices are not allowed. The 100% handicap percentage applies. Tie-breaks are resolved by lowest playing handicap, then holes 9, 12, 15, 16, and 17, then best discarded card, then second best discarded card, then draw.
