The Race to Honor 2026 is a series of individual stableford competitions held at Real Club de Golf La Herrería on Saturdays throughout the season (July 18 & 25, August 1 & 8, September 5). Each regular-phase event consists of one round of 18 holes played under the Rules of Golf and the club's Local Rules, using individual stableford scoring. The competition is open to all players — both club members and non-members (visitors) — of any gender. Members must hold a valid licence and handicap of 36 or less; non-members must hold a valid licence and handicap of 28 or less. Two categories are set based on exact world handicap: Category 1 for handicaps of 18.4 or below, and Category 2 for handicaps of 18.5 or above. Players compete with a playing handicap calculated at 95% of their RFEG database handicap, with a maximum playing handicap of 26.4 from the chosen tees. Players may freely choose their tee (59, 53, 49, or 35) at registration for each regular-phase event. Entries are made via the Clapphouse app, typically opening 10 days before the event and closing at 10:00 three days before the competition. Results are recorded electronically via the app. The top 24 players in each category from the regular phase qualify for the Gran Final on September 5, 2026, which includes bonus points based on regular-phase ranking. Prizes are awarded to the top two finishers in each category at each regular event, with additional prizes for the top five in the Gran Final.
