Seniors Open Better-Ball is a pairs better-ball stableford competition open to golfers aged 55 and over. The event is held at Mapperley Golf Course from the Yellow Alternate tees (10th hole par 3) with a course rating of 68.4 and slope rating of 125. Entry fees are £10 for club members and £25 for visitors. Players must have a Handicap Index of 30.0 or lower; players with a higher index may enter but their playing handicap will be calculated using the maximum index limit. Handicap allowance is 85%. Entry can be made in person at the Pro Shop, by phone at 0115 955 6673, or online via the BRS booking system. Buggies may be pre-booked through the Pro Shop subject to availability and course conditions. Prize eligibility requires both players in the pair to have a valid current Handicap Index and to have submitted a minimum of 6 Acceptable Scores (including at least 3 in competition play) within the 12 months prior to the competition. Pairs with a player who has not met these score submission requirements may play but are not eligible to win prizes. If play is suspended due to adverse course or weather conditions and players are unable to complete their round, they are eligible for a refund or entry into a future Open Competition.
