Event Details

Date: Friday, 18 September 2026

Format: Individual Stableford

Category: Open

Entry Method: Online

Fredagsgolf (Friday Golf) is a weekly individual competition held every Friday at Gripsholms Golfklubb. The 2026 season runs from the first Friday in May (May 8th) through mid-September (September 15th), with possible extension depending on weather conditions. Each Friday features an individual competition with accumulator scoring, where players accumulate points from hole to hole across all 18 holes. Extra points are awarded for birdies, and the nearest-to-the-pin (green hit only) and par achievements also earn bonus points. Players tee off between 09:00 and 09:50. Players play from the regular tees, with male players aged 70 and over having the option to play from the red tees. The maximum handicap allowance is one stroke per hole, with no strokes on the short holes. Entry is made via mingolf.se, with a deadline on Tuesday at 21:00; the starting list is published by Thursday evening. The entry fee is 10 SEK per round, plus an additional accumulator contribution of approximately 40-50 SEK. The competition is managed by Kent Lanz, who also handles payment. The season-long accumulator competition rewards frequent participation, with more entries increasing the chance of winning seasonal prizes. The event is excluded for Midsummer Eve and the Friday during Gripsholmsveckan.
