Skogberga Senior Open Round 19

The Skogberga Senior Open (SSO) is a regular Tuesday morning stableford competition for golfers over 59 years old, held at Jarlabanke Golfklubb's Skogberga course (12 holes). Round 19 takes place on 8 September 2026. Players register online via mingolf.golf.se, select a tee time, and submit their signed scorecards to the competition secretary (Peter Levander or Kjell Wallén) after play. If the competition secretary is not present, players must take a clear photo of their scorecard and send it via SMS to 070-342 24 65. Results are recorded using a fixed-points (stableford) system where the winner receives 22 points, second place 20 points, third 18 points, fourth 16 points, fifth 15 points, and so on; if there are more than 19 participants, remaining players receive 1 point. The series includes play at Jarlabanke's Skogberga course as well as occasional rounds at other courses (Vallentuna GK, Ängsö-Orresta, Sparren/Roslagen GK, Sigtuna GK, Vassunda GK). A final event with prizes and a podium ceremony is planned, requiring a contribution of 130 SEK per person. The winning gentleman receives the travelling trophy 'Gubbstrutten' (a wooden sculpture donated by Leif Eek, initiated by Jarl Ringfeldt) for one year, and the winning lady receives the travelling trophy 'Käringen' (donated by Mats Bodin in 2016) for one year.
