Makita 9 Tournament Series 2026/2027

The Makita 9 Tournament Series is a recurring 9-hole strokeplay competition using Stableford scoring with handicap strokes, held as a series of club tournaments throughout the 2026/2027 season (May 1, 2026 to April 30, 2027). Open to all amateur golfers who are members of a golf club affiliated with the Austrian Golf Federation (ÖGV) or an internationally recognized national federation, with a World Handicap Index (WHI) of maximum 54. Participants compete in age-based categories: Class 1 (up to 30 years), Class 2 (31-45 years), Class 3 (46-60 years), and Class 4 (61+ years), with the age cutoff date being the series start on May 1, 2026. Players can enter any number of tournaments across Austria, with the nine best results counting toward the overall ranking. A minimum of five tournaments must be played to qualify for the Conference Finals. Entry is made online via the Austrian Golf Federation tournament calendar. For preliminary club tournaments, no physical or souvenir prizes are awarded; prizes are concentrated in the Conference Finals and Austria Final stages. The event includes attractive prizes, special evaluations, and a relaxed atmosphere with food and drinks on the club terrace.
