The Makita 9 is a 9-hole after-work tournament series held on Wednesdays at Golf- und Landclub Achensee, running from May 1, 2026, to April 30, 2027. It is an individual strokeplay competition played over 9 holes using Stableford scoring with handicap adjustments. Open to all amateur golfers who are members of an ÖGV (Austrian Golf Union) affiliated club or an internationally recognized national association, holding a World Handicap Index (WHI) of 54 or lower. Participants play according to official R&A Golf Rules, ÖGV handicap rules, and club course rules. The event combines sport with social enjoyment, featuring attractive prizes, special valuations, and a relaxed atmosphere on the club terrace. Results count towards the ÖGV Makita 9 national ranking list for four age categories (up to 30, 31-45, 46-60, and 61+). The best nine scores from the series are counted for the ranking, with a minimum of five tournaments required to qualify for the Conference Finals. Entry is made online via the golf.at tournament calendar, and entry fees/start times are set by the host club.
