Sponsor Match is an individual strokeplay competition held at Hirtshals Golfklub on August 12, 2026. The event is open to all club members and visiting golfers from other clubs who hold an official EGA handicap. Entry is managed via GolfBox with a tournament fee of 100 DKK. Visitors are required to pay the applicable greenfee in addition to the tournament fee. Players must register at the club 10 minutes before their scheduled start time. Golf buggies are permitted for use during the tournament. Entry closes at 20:00 three days before the tournament date. Start lists are published in the clubhouse and via GolfBox two days before the event. Tie-break procedures follow standard strokeplay rules: lowest net score, then last 9 holes, last 6 holes, last 3 holes, last hole, or drawing of lots if still tied.

Hirtshals Golfklub is an 18-hole championship course designed by architect Erik Nielsen and opened in August 1992. Located in the Lilleheden Klitplantage (dune plantation) in northern Jutland, Denmark, the course spans 71 hectares and is partially integrated into the surrounding forest, creating scenic and challenging playing conditions. The course features 26 strategically placed bunkers that challenge all 18 holes. The greens are seeded with fescue and red bent grass, maintained to roll at approximately 8 feet and regularly rolled and vertically cut multiple times weekly to ensure consistent speed and surface quality. The course is recognized among regional golfers for maintaining some of the highest green standards in the area. The setting offers a natural, forested landscape with varied terrain characteristic of Danish dune plantation golf. The course caters to all skill levels and is complemented by a 9-hole pay-and-play course. Located near the E39 motorway and approximately 5 minutes from Hirtshals ferry terminals, the club combines an informal atmosphere with well-maintained facilities, presenting a comprehensive golfing experience in North Jutland.
