Couples League 2026

The 2026 Lida Greens Couples League is a recurring golf event held on Sunday evenings throughout the season. The league runs on the following dates: May 31, June 14 and 28, July 12 and 26, August 16 and 30, and September 1 and 27. Players meet at 4:30 PM with play starting at 5:00 PM. The event is open to any interested couples, including male-female, male-male, and female-female pairings; couples do not need to be married or romantically involved. Visiting couples and friends are welcome. There is no requirement to attend every event, and each night operates as its own individual competition. The format is 9 holes played in scramble format (best ball on June 28, July 26, August 30, and September 27). In scramble format, after each shot by a couple, the next shot is played from the best of the two previous shots; when playing scramble, each player must use a drive at least once. On best ball nights, both players play their own ball and keep an individual score, with the couple's score for each hole being the better of the two. A shotgun start is used with 2 couples per hole. The entry fee is $38.00 per couple, which includes a golf cart. Members pay only $6.00 per person for the cart. An additional $3.00 per person is charged for nightly cash prizes, which include closest to the pin, longest drive (men and women), and low score for the couple. On best ball nights, additional prizes include low individual score (men and women) and longest putt. Mulligans are available for $2.00 per night, with proceeds going to prize money. Each night features additional fun play additions such as worst hole challenges, yardage tape for putts on best ball nights, pool cues or croquet mallets for putts, playing with only 3 clubs, and rolling dice for club selection. Once each month (June 28, July 26, August 30, and September 27), a potluck dinner follows the golf, with burgers, brats, or meat provided by Lida Greens Golf Course and attendees invited to bring appetizers, salads, or desserts.
