Couples League 2026

The 2026 Lida Greens Couples League is a recurring Sunday evening event held at Lida Greens Golf Course. Sessions take place on May 31, June 14 & 28, July 12 & 26, August 16 & 30, and September 1, 13, and 27. Players meet at 4:30 PM and tee off at 5:00 PM. The event is open to any interested couples (male-female, male-male, or female-female); marriage or romantic involvement is not required. Visiting couples and friends are welcome. The format is 9 holes, no handicap required. The primary format is Scramble (best ball of the two shots after each shot), except on June 28, July 26, August 30, and September 27, which use a Best Ball format (each player plays their own ball, couple score is the best individual score). In Scramble, each player must use a drive at least once. Each Sunday is a standalone event with winners determined nightly. Prizes include cash awards for closest to the pin, longest drive (men and women), and lowest couple score. On Best Ball nights, additional prizes are awarded for lowest individual score and longest putt. Fun variations may include worst hole, random club selection, or dice-determined clubs. The entry fee is $38.00 per couple, which includes a golf cart. Members pay only $6.00 for the cart. An additional $3.00 per person is required for nightly cash prizes. Mulligans are available for $2.00 each, with proceeds going to prize money. Once a month (June 28, July 26, August 30, September 27), a potluck dinner follows the golf, with the course providing BBQ ribs and attendees bringing appetizers, salads, or desserts. The event uses a shotgun start with two couples per hole.
