The 2026 Lida Greens Couples League is a recurring Sunday evening golf event held at Lida Greens Golf Course. Sessions take place on May 31, June 14 and 28, July 12 and 26, August 16 and 30, and September 1 and 13. Players meet at 4:30 PM with a 5:00 PM start. The event is open to any interested couples (male-female, male-male, or female-female); partners do not need to be married or romantically involved, and visiting couples/friends are welcome. There is no requirement to attend every session. The format is 9 holes, no handicap required. The primary format is scramble (best ball of the two shots), where the couple's score for the hole is the best of the two individual shots, and each player must use a drive at least once. On specific dates (June 28, July 26, August 30, September 27), the format changes to Best Ball, where each player plays their own ball and the couple's score is the better of the two individual scores. Each night is a standalone event with winners. Cash awards are available for closest to the pin, longest drive (men and women), and low couple score. On Best Ball nights, additional prizes include low individual score and longest putt. The entry fee is $38.00 per couple, which includes a golf cart. Members pay only $6.00 per person for the cart. An additional $3.00 per person is recommended for nightly cash prizes. Mulligans are available for $2.00 each, contributing to prize money. Once a month (June 28, July 26, August 30, September 27), a potluck dinner follows the golf, with the course providing BBQ ribs and attendees invited to bring appetizers, salads, or desserts. Fun play additions may include worst hole challenges, yardage tape for putts, pool cues/croquet mallets for putting, limited club challenges, or dice-determined clubs.
