Mitchelstown Golf Course

County Cork, Ireland

Mitchelstown Golf Club is a parkland course located in North Cork, nestled in the shadow of the Galtee Mountains. Founded in 1910, the course has developed into one of Munster's premier parkland layouts. Built on quality land, it remains playable throughout the year due to excellent drainage and course conditions. The course is characterized by its well-maintained fairways and greens set within a fertile landscape. Notable for its accessibility, it was nominated by respected Irish golf writer Kevin Markham as one of Ireland's top ten golf courses for €20 or less. The 4th hole has been recognized as one of Ireland's best 100 golf holes, suggesting distinctive design and challenging play. Mitchelstown offers a balanced test of golf suitable for various skill levels. The course hosts competitive events, including the 2025 Scratch Cups scheduled for late August. Visitor booking is available alongside society play, making it accessible to both casual golfers and organized groups seeking a quality parkland experience in the Munster region.
