The Winter-Eclectic 2026/2027 is the opening event of the 22nd season of the annual Winter-Eclectic competition at Krefelder Golf Club e.V. This individual stableford competition runs from November 2026 through March 2027, with players competing on selected Sundays. Participants meet at the 1st tee at 12:00, are assigned to groups of 2, 3, or 4 players by the starter, and play holes 1-11 on either the summer or winter greens. No prior registration is required — players simply arrive on Sunday at 12:00. There is no obligation to attend every session; players may participate at their own convenience. After each round, scores are recorded and at the season finale on March 8, 2027, results are aggregated into an Eclectic score (the best score at each hole across all rounds played), using the player's valid handicap index. Krefelder Golf Club e.V. is a traditional German golf course founded in 1930, located in Krefeld at Eltweg 2. The club is recognized nationally and internationally as one of Germany's most beautiful parkland courses. The layout features 18 holes with widespread fairways, distinctive trees, and challenging hole designs that accommodate golfers of all skill levels. The course includes both summer and winter greens, with holes 1-11 available for winter play. Notable holes include routing through scenic terrain, with particular emphasis on holes 4, 6, 7, 8, 9, 15, and 17 which feature designated pathways for player navigation. The course is maintained to championship standards with professional greenkeeping, and green speeds are regularly measured using stimpmeter technology. The club offers a driving range facility and welcomes trolleys and pull carts. A full range of tournaments and competitions are organized throughout the year, including traditional events, age-group competitions, and inclusive golf tournaments, supported by professional instruction from certified PGA professionals.
