36-hole individual strokeplay open at Royal North Devon Golf Club, restricted to players aged 55 and over. Played off white tees with a 95% handicap allowance. Maximum playing handicap: 18. If more than 60 entries are received, those with the highest handicaps will be balloted out. Entrants must be a member of an affiliated golf club and hold a CDH (Central Database of Handicaps) ID number. Entries must be completed online and accompanied by payment; PDF entry forms are available from the club office if online entry is not possible. Entry deadline: 7:00 am on 12 March 2027. No refund for withdrawals less than 72 hours before the competition. Prizes are awarded for both scratch and handicap. All trophies remain the property of Royal North Devon Golf Club and are presented at the next prize-giving.

Winner of scratch competition receives the Mervyn Thomas Fudge Trophy (best 36-hole scratch score). Prizes also awarded for handicap.

Royal North Devon Golf Club is England's oldest golf course, designed by Old Tom Morris in 1864. Located on 170 acres of Northam Burrows common land near Westward Ho! in Devon, the course offers authentic links golf with distinctive characteristics shaped by its coastal setting. The layout features challenging holes defined by huge dunes interspersed with flat fairways and vast bunkers, creating varied terrain across 650 acres of common land. The course gained its "Royal" designation in 1867 when the Prince of Wales, later King Edward VII, became patron. Known for its unique and demanding character, particularly in windy conditions, Royal North Devon presents a stern test despite being described as surprisingly forgiving. The conditioning is consistently excellent, with greens maintained to championship standards. Notable views extend toward the Bristol Channel and Lundy Island. The club maintains its historical significance while offering modern facilities and welcoming both members and visitors. The course's distinctive combination of natural landscape features and strategic bunkering creates holes that are unlike those found at most other courses.
