The Men's Handicap Open - Gus McVey Memorial Trophy is an 18-hole stroke play competition for male amateur golfers held at Longniddry Golf Course on Saturday 18th July 2026. Players with a handicap index between 3.5 and 18.0 are eligible to enter; those with a handicap index over 18.0 may enter but the maximum allowed will be 18.0. Handicap allowance is 95%. The competition fee is £40.00 per player, which includes a £10 food and beverage voucher. Play will be from the white tees in groups of three balls. Prizes are awarded for handicap and scratch categories: Handicap prizes are 1st £300, 2nd £200, 3rd £150, 4th £120, 5th £100, 6th £80, 7th £70; Scratch prize is 1st £80. Online booking opens at 10:00 on Monday 1st December 2025. Signup closes at 12:00 am on 18/07/2026.
