Tasmania, Australia
Tam O'Shanter Golf Club is a unique coastal golf course located on the Northern coast of Tasmania. The course features nine greens and eighteen holes across 5300 metres. Developed beginning in February 1991, the course was designed and constructed by a dedicated band of resident volunteers working with local golf legend Bill Husband. The course emphasizes coastal links-style characteristics and is playable year-round.
The reasonably flat but demanding course attracts golfers of all levels. The scenic and entertaining layout features no shortage of challenge or interest, made more fascinating by the coastal sea breeze. The course is open to the public.
The club operates as a community facility in the Lulworth area of northern Tasmania, providing recreational golf alongside other community amenities. The coastal setting and links-style design create distinctive playing conditions that appeal to visitors from across Tasmania and beyond.
