Dongguan Phoenix Hill Golf Club

广东省

Located at the junction of Pinghu Town in Shenzhen and Fenggang Town in Dongguan, the Dongguan Phoenix Hill Golf Club occupies a 27-hole layout established in July 2006. The course is built upon the terrain of former stone quarries, utilizing the natural elevation changes and abandoned mining sites to create a hilly routing. The facility is divided into three distinct nine-hole loops, designated as the A, B, and C courses, which are combined to form the full 27-hole experience. The A course is characterized by significant elevation changes and strategic hazards that demand precise shot-making. The first hole, a par 4, serves as a dramatic opener with a tee shot from the mountaintop that requires accuracy to avoid out-of-bounds areas and a bottle-neck landing zone. The routing includes a variety of challenges, such as the 370-yard par 4 on the 7th, which runs adjacent to Yantian Park and features a front fairway bunker, and the 9th, a wide but undulating par 4 where a downhill second shot reduces the effective distance to the green. Signature holes on the A course include the 4th, which is surrounded by lychee trees and features a steep bunker guarding the front of the green, and the 6th, where water hazards extend to the edge of the putting surface. The 5th hole presents a unique challenge with a tee shot that offers a view of the hole's end, often discouraging the use of a driver due to the risk of a difficult second shot from a slope. The 8th is a short par 4 that tests strategy, where players must decide between a driver over a right-side rock face or an iron to safely reach the green. The course design integrates the natural Phoenix Mountain landscape, with the clubhouse situated on the hilltop to provide views of the grounds. The layout is designed to blend with the original mountain features, using the topography to create interesting approaches and recovery shots. The facility also includes a two-story practice area and a training base, catering to both competitive play and skill development.

Doonbeg Golf Course

Trump International Golf Links & Hotel Ireland, formerly Doonbeg Golf Club, is a traditional links-type course situated to the north of Doonbeg in County Clare, Ireland. Designed by Greg Norman and opened in 2002, the par-72 layout features a single loop of nine holes out and nine back, playing 6,885 yards from the back tees. The course spans 1.5 miles of crescent shaped beach and century old sand dunes along Doughmore Bay. The golf course has an unusual combination of five par 3s and five par 5s. Redesigned in 2016 by acclaimed links architect, Dr. Martin Hawtree, the course at Trump Ireland is one of the top golf courses in the United Kingdom and Ireland. The natural awe-inspiring dunes, wind speed and direction cause the most thrilling of challenges demanding golfers to constantly rethink their game. From the back tees the course is an absolute bear with virtually no forgiveness outside the fairways due to the marram grass that makes finding your ball difficult and playing it nearly impossible. The signature 18th hole is a 432-yard par 4 that bends right before curling back left, with a sandy beach some 10-15 feet below the fairway and the Atlantic Ocean beyond. The opening hole at Doonbeg is one of the best in Ireland with a green site resting in an amphitheater of grass covered dunes. In 2022, Golf Digest listed it as the ninth-best course in the Republic of Ireland. The prestigious Amgen Irish Open will be held at Trump International Golf Links & Hotel Ireland, scheduled to take place from September 10-13, 2026.

Dorado Beach East Golf Course

PR

Robert Trent Jones, Jr. restored the historic East Course at TPC Dorado Beach to its original design by his father, Robert Trent Jones, Sr. The championship layout stretches 7,200 yards and challenges players of all skill levels through multiple tee options. The course features a classic seaside setting with strong Caribbean trade winds affecting play on many holes. The restoration included significant renovations: greens were completely reshaped to match original features and planted with Champions Bermuda grass for fast, smooth putting surfaces. Bunkers were reshaped and filled with native beach sand. The course was lengthened by 700 yards from its previous version. A notable aspect of the restoration involved reinstating panoramic ocean sightlines on 12 of the 18 holes, restoring the course's original visual character. While the East Course presents a stern challenge at the professional level, the multiple tee system ensures accessibility for golfers of varying abilities. The course includes a caddy program designed to enhance the playing experience. The seaside location in Puerto Rico and the interplay between the challenging layout and ocean views characterize this classic championship course.
