Founded in 1919, the club relocated in 1954 to a 317-acre property near Mesquite, Texas, following freeway expansion in Dallas. Dallas Country Club was founded in the year 1896 in the town of Highland Park in Dallas County, Texas. Tom Bendelow designed the golf course with the first round of golf being played in 1912. The course was renovated by designer Jay Morrish. The layout features a par 70, 6,266-yard course with a rating of 72.2 and a slope of 132. The property spans over 117.5 acres of land with magnificent views of Turtle Creek and the historic skyline of downtown Dallas. Turtle Creek itself, which is the center of the course aside its clubhouse overlooking Turtle Creek, provides a variety of shot types throughout the round. The course presents a challenging layout for golfers of varying skill levels. The member-hosts opened their course to visitors for several tournaments, including a state event in 1903 and the Texas Golf Association State Championship in 1906. Golfers from the club, along with those from several other area clubs, formed the Dallas District Golf Association in 1948 to promote the game and tournament play in the area.

Dallas National Golf Club is an 18-hole par-72 course measuring 7,372 yards, designed by Tom Fazio, Beau Welling, and Dennis Wise and opened in 2002. Located at 1515 Knoxville Road in Dallas, Texas, the course sits on what architect Tom Fazio called "the best piece of land left in America close to a downtown," situated just 6 miles southeast of downtown in old Oak Cliff. The course occupies rugged hills dotted with cedars, with Tom Fazio utilizing considerable earth movement in its creation. The course has a rating of 75.9 with a slope of 145. Notable features include the par-3 17th hole, which is countersunk into an excavated box canyon of rock, and a deep ravine in front of the 18th green that was filled in to reduce difficulty for average players. The middle stretch including the 9th and 10th holes provides the most impressive views and dramatic holes. The front nine is generally mellow, but around the turn the course ramps up, with the par-5 10th serving as a showstopper. Dallas National has ranked as high as 59th on Golf Digest's 100 Greatest Courses (2007-'10, 2017-'18) and currently ranks 96th (2025-'26). The course has been ranked in the Top 2 in Texas since 2005.
