Designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr. and opened in 1981, the Woodlands Golf Course is an 18-hole, par 72 course measuring 6,913 yards. Located 17.5 miles southwest of Bend in Sunriver, Oregon, the course features dense forests of ponderosa and lodgepole pine, outcroppings of lava rock and an abundance of water. The layout sits on higher, drier land heavily lined with pines, with most holes featuring gradual to sharp doglegs through tree-lined layouts and fairway bunkers. Several holes offer scenic views of Mount Bachelor. The abundance of water and outcroppings of lava rock place a premium on shot accuracy. Greens are heavily defended with sand through deep and steep traps that are plentiful throughout the course. Water is fairly minimal overall, though the Par 4 18th hole doglegs through two large ponds. The course has hosted multiple Oregon Opens and the 2024 Senior PGA Professional National Championship. As of 2025, the course became private, open only to members and Lodge guests.
