Breckenridge Golf Club has three championship nine-hole courses: the Bear, the Beaver and the Elk and is the only municipal Jack Nicklaus Signature course. The Bear opened in 1985, the Beaver opened in 1987, and the Elk opened in 2001, creating the only municipality in the world to own 27-holes of Jack Nicklaus designed golf, situated in a beautiful mountain valley at an elevation of 9324'.
