Set within the Greenbrier Resort in West Virginia, the course features dense woodlands and strategic hole designs that demand precision and skill. Currently operating with 10 holes open for play, guests can complete either 9 or 18 holes with a bonus hole option. Located at The Greenbrier Resort in the mountains of West Virginia, the course features breathtaking mountain vistas and elegant landscape design. The layout showcases dynamic green complexes and signature stacked sod bunkers throughout. Following a devastating 2016 flood, the course underwent complete restoration and emerged in summer 2017 with renewed character while maintaining its classic design elements. The Greenbrier - The Old White TPC

WV

The Old White at The Greenbrier is a historic 18-hole golf course designed by Charles Blair Macdonald, the father of American golf course design. The course features tight, tree-lined fairways and undulating greens characteristic of classic golf architecture. Named after the Old White Hotel that occupied the resort grounds from 1858 to 1922, the course serves as a tribute to golf's heritage. Macdonald incorporated homages to legendary European holes into the design: the 8th hole mirrors the "Redan" at North Berwick, the 13th echoes the "Alps" at Prestwick, and the 15th reflects the "Eden" at St. Andrews. This thoughtful design strategy creates a challenging and historically rich playing experience. The Old White has established itself as a premier tournament venue, attracting major professional events including PGA TOUR and LIV Golf competitions. The course's classic design and storied layout have made it a cornerstone of The Greenbrier's golfing legacy, hosting countless legendary players throughout its history. The combination of strategic hole design and demanding course conditions maintains the course's reputation as a challenging test of golf.
