The Dunes Course At Sandridge

FL

The Dunes Course at Sandridge Golf Club is an 18-hole championship layout designed by Ron Garl that opened to the public in 1987. Located in Vero Beach, Florida, the course is owned and operated by Indian River County and represents one of the finest public golf destinations in the state. The course winds around an old ridge that runs along Florida's East Coast, a geological formation that was historically used for mining operations. This distinctive setting creates the course's defining characteristic—its interaction with natural terrain and the historic ridge system. As one of two championship courses at Sandridge Golf Club, the Dunes Course has been maintained with consistent dedication to classic golf design principles. The facility has earned a four-and-a-half star rating from Golf Digest and regular inclusion on the magazine's "Places to Play List," establishing it as a premier South Florida golf destination suitable for both serious and casual golfers.

The Dunes Golf Club

Victoria

Located on Victoria's Mornington Peninsula, The Dunes is consistently ranked among the top 25 courses in Australia. Set on 300 acres of gently rolling sand dunes in the heart of the Mornington Peninsula "Cups" region, The Dunes captures the essence of true links golf. Designed by Tony Cashmore, the Dunes Course offers a modern links layout on very sandy soil that drains well and is open year-round. The tournament course is 6,459 metres and achieves the difficult objective of being an enjoyable challenge for both low markers and higher handicapped golfers. The shorter Cups Course is a captivating 9-hole links accessible for all players and built to the highest standards. The two nines of The Dunes Golf Links describe concentric clockwise loops so there is plenty of variation in angle of breezes to be played. The accent is very much on novelty and variation so the golfer will be asked to perform many direction changes, cope with side hill lies and fire to hill top greens. The 6th hole which plays only 74 metres from the back tee has been voted 'Best Short Par 3' in Australia. The Dunes has been ranked amongst Australia's Top 20 Golf Courses for the last 20 years, and the entire complex regularly maintains its reputation as Australia's premier public-access golf facility.
