Hole #13 is a difficult par 3 of 200 yards from the tips, and the par 5 #14 is the number one handicap hole with a pond located in front of the green. Stonebridge Golf Club

NC

Stonebridge Golf Club is an 18-hole Championship Golf Course located in Monroe, North Carolina, winding through gently rolling forest land. Built in 1997 by course designer Richard Osborne, the layout measures 6,923 yards for a par of 72. Rather than building a golf course into a residential development, Osborne's mission was to begin with over 650 untouched acres and find the golf course that was already there. The course features a straightforward layout with relatively flat bent grass greens, with difficulty coming from water hazards in play on a majority of holes. The par 5 10th hole is bisected by a small ravine crossed by a replica of the St. Andrews Swilcan Bridge, giving the course its name. All of the par 5's are reachable in 2 shots except the 10th; holes 5, 6 and 7 circle the same pond bringing it strategically into play, and the par 3 8th requires a long carry over a pond while the par 5 9th is reachable in 2 if challenging the pond guarding the front right of the green. Stonebridge has been named best semi-private golf club and best practice facility by Charlotte's Best Magazine, nominated for best new course in the country by Golf Digest, and has hosted the AJGA Ashworth Carolina Classic.
