Pawtucket Country Club

MA

The course features a par of 69 and measures approximately 6,500 yards, offering a classic design characterized by tree-lined fairways of mature oaks that demand accuracy from golfers. The greens are notably slick and undulating, requiring a strong short game to navigate successfully. The course is recognized as one of Rhode Island's elite golf facilities and maintains the traditional qualities Park envisioned: "greens of remarkable smoothness, inviting fairways, and well-devised hazards." The mature oak trees lining the fairways create both aesthetic appeal and strategic challenge. Beyond golf, the facility offers dining and recreational amenities including an Olympic-size swimming pool, serving as a gathering place for members and their guests in a family-friendly atmosphere.

Paxon Hollow Golf Club

PA

The course is owned and operated by Marple Township and is conveniently located just west of Philadelphia. The course features par 71 and a length of 5,709 yards, making it relatively compact despite its challenging nature. The course features tight, tree-lined fairways, significant elevation changes, and strategically placed bunkers, making it more challenging than the yardage suggests. The course has been the site of many professional and amateur tournaments and has hosted such great players as Walter Hagen, Art Wall, and Ed Dudley. During private ownership by White Manor the back nine holes were changed considerably, with only the 11th, 12th, 14th, and 15th holes remaining unchanged from the original design. The facility includes a classically designed 18-hole golf course, practice range, restaurant, and banquet facility. Paxon Hollow was formed as a private club over 90 years ago and has now become one of the most popular public golf courses in the Philadelphia area.
