Orange Blossom Hills Golf & Country Club (The Villages)

Orange Blossom Hills Golf Course is the oldest 18-hole championship golf course in The Villages, and plays at 6,213 yards from the back tees. The course was designed by Clifton, Ezell & Clifton and was built in 1985. The par of Orange Blossom Hills Golf & Country Club is 72. The course features mature and majestic trees, quaint bridges and low, rolling hills. Many holes demand accuracy off the tee with a variety of clubs, and the small greens put a premium on precise iron play, with putting challenging due to the many subtle breaks on the greens. The greens are Bermuda grass. In 2014, renovations to the club house facility, pool, and multiple course renovation projects were completed, including an upgraded irrigation system for greater water efficiency, renovation of all greens and bunkers, new tee boxes and leveling of old tee boxes, and other projects such as tree and cart path work.

Following flooding issues, the course relocated to its present site on the edge of town, where it initially shared land with the local Race Club and Show Society before acquiring full ownership. The course layout has remained relatively consistent since its relocation, with only minor modifications over the decades. A significant recent change involved removing pine plantations that had become established features of the course, as their root systems caused machinery damage and posed safety hazards to staff and golfers.
