Infinitum Golf

Catalunya

Infinitum Golf (formerly Lumine Mediterránea Golf Club) is a 45-hole resort complex situated near Vila-seca on the Costa Daurada, close to the port city of Tarragona in Catalonia. All three courses opened in 2008, with Greg Norman designing the Lakes and Ruins courses alongside co-designer Alfonso Vidaor, while the Hills course was designed by Alfonso Vidaor and Magí Sardà. The Lakes Course, par 71 over 6,317 metres, is the resort's most technically demanding layout. It winds around the Sèquia Major wetlands, a protected area of special natural interest, with water coming into play on a significant number of holes, making it the most challenging and strategically complex of the three courses. The Hills Course, par 72 over a broadly similar distance, follows the natural contours of gently undulating terrain. The layout passes through pine woodland and plantations of olive and carob trees, with a striking back-nine sequence where holes 13, 17, and 18 are routed through a natural rock quarry. Earlier holes offer distant views of the Mediterranean. The Hills Course is frequently rated ahead of the Lakes by visiting golfers and was ranked 47th in Spain by Golf World in 2025. The nine-hole Ruins Course, also by Greg Norman, plays to par 34 over 2,609 metres and is designed as a more accessible test, combinable with either of the other nines during maintenance periods. Infinitum has hosted the Final Stage of the European Tour Qualifying School since 2017, using the Lakes and Hills courses over six rounds. The Hills Course has served as a winter training venue for elite golfing groups from international golf federations including the Austrian and Finnish Golf Federations. The course underwent significant upgrades announced in 2023, including bunker removal, construction of new back tees on the front nine, and redesigned finishing holes to enhance both playability and safety.

Inglewood Golf Club

WA

Inglewood Golf Club is an 18-hole championship course located in the Pacific Northwest, designed by noted British Columbia architect A.V. Macan. Macan, a top amateur golfer who won the 1913 Washington State Amateur, designed over 31 courses in the region, including Inglewood, which opened for play in July 1921. The course is set on undulating terrain characterized by significant elevation changes, featuring numerous uphill and downhill holes that demand precise shot-making. The layout includes a variety of hole types, from long par 5s to short par 3s, with many greens that are multi-tiered or heavily sloped. The course presents a demanding test for golfers, with yardages varying significantly by tee. From the black tees, the course measures 6,939 yards with a rating of 74.0 and a slope of 140, while the gold tees offer a 4,927-yard layout with a 64.2 rating. The terrain creates uneven lies and requires strategic play, as many holes feature blind tee shots, out-of-bounds hazards, and greens that slope sharply from back-to-front or side-to-side. The difficulty is compounded by the fact that errant shots often find trouble, whether in bunkers, rough, or water. The signature hole is the 178-yard par-3 sixth, a downhill shot that Macan designed as a true gem. Accuracy is paramount here, with slopes in front and behind the green and bunkers guarding both sides. Other notable holes include the 521-yard opening par-5, which plays uphill and requires avoidance of left-side bunkers, and the 587-yard par-5 seventh, where out-of-bounds lines both sides of the fairway. The 18th hole finishes with a downhill par-5, where water guards the green short and left. Inglewood has a rich tournament history, hosting numerous prestigious events since its opening. These include the PGA Seattle Open, the PGA Senior Tour GTE Northwest Classic, the LPGA Valhalla Open, the LPGA Legends Tour, the Washington State Open, and the Fred Couples Invitational. The club has also hosted USGA Open Qualifying, the PNGA Amateur Championship, and the Hudson Cup Matches. The course has produced many notable scores, including multiple 62s and 63s by professionals and amateurs, with record rounds including a 62 by Brian Flugstad in 2009. The club's members and professionals have achieved significant success, with multiple US Amateur Champions, Ryder Cup and Walker Cup team members, and Washington State Amateur champions associated with the club.
