Ystad Golfklubb Top 100 Review

Ystad Golfklubb, founded in 1930 and one of Sweden's oldest golf clubs, is located at Nybrofältet in Nybrostrand. Designed by renowned architect Thure Bruce, the course features a parkland and seaside character that blends natural landscape with challenging play.

The 18-hole layout opens with a signature par-3 featuring water hazards, establishing the course's defining characteristic: strategic water placement throughout. The front nine is characterized by water and wind elements set within parkland terrain, while the back nine presents fewer water hazards but maintains consistent challenge across varied topography.

The course is designed to accommodate golfers of all abilities, from beginners to elite players, presenting a genuine test for each. Ystad GK was admitted to the Swedish Golf Federation in 1933 as the 14th member club, reflecting its historical significance in Swedish golf. The course hosts regular club competitions and member tournaments throughout the season.
