Österlens Golf

Österlens Golfklubb, located at Viks fiskeläge near Simrishamn in southern Sweden, features two distinctive 18-hole courses with contrasting characteristics. Lilla Vik is a parkland course offering a pleasant, lush layout with multiple holes challenging players along the Baltic Sea's shoreline, where ocean winds influence play. The course winds through apple orchards near the restaurant. Djupadal, the heathland course, provides a different golfing experience on the opposite side of the main road.

Founded in 1945, the club's origins trace back to golf being played on the coastal meadows at Vik. The original 6-hole course was developed with expertise from Gunnar Tisell, then SGF secretary, and Rafael Sundblom, Sweden's first course architect. The club also operates Korta Vik, a 6-hole short course.

Set in a scenic coastal environment where land meets sea, both courses offer challenging play amid natural beauty. The club holds GEO certification, demonstrating strong commitment to sustainability and environmental stewardship. Österlens is celebrating its 80th anniversary and continues active course maintenance and member engagement.
