Located at 900 Harrelson Blvd in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, Whispering Pines Golf Course is an 18-hole, par 72 layout measuring 6,771 yards from the back tees. The course was designed by Finger, Dye, and Spahn, who carved the fairways out of 200 acres of towering pines and mature hardwoods. Situated less than two minutes from the oceanfront, the property preserves a native landscape that distinguishes it from many other courses in the region. The course is known for its elevation changes and natural setting, with reviewers noting that it features more hills than typical Myrtle Beach layouts. The design integrates the surrounding mature hardwoods and pines into the playing experience, offering a sense of remoteness despite its proximity to the city. The layout includes a mix of par 3s, 4s, and 5s, with yardages ranging from 158 yards on the sixth hole to 567 yards on the twelfth. Whispering Pines holds a distinction in environmental conservation, having been designated a Certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary by Audubon International in 1998. It was the third course in South Carolina to receive this honor and remains the only course in the Myrtle Beach area to have achieved it. The facility also features a driving range and practice greens maintained for player preparation.
